Incorporating CBD oil into your diet is a very simple task, yet some people are weary doing so because it can alter the flavor of a dish. Many people report that the flavor is yummy by itself, while others say it takes time for their taste-buds to adjust. CBD oil has a nutty, piney and grassy flavor that can overpower other flavors if used excessively. Finding complimentary combinations of ingredients to meld or cover the CBD flavor will allow for people who find its natural flavor a bit unappealing to still enjoy its culinary uses.
Fruits are commonly used to cover the taste of CBD oil. Adding the oil to a smoothly, or eating it with a sherbet is popular way to incorporate the oil into one’s diet. Another great way to mix CBD oil with fruit is creating different styles of fruit vinaigrette. Almost any fruit, apples to oranges, can be used to make these simple and delicious salad dressings. The trick to keeping the CBD oil from taking control of the flavor is when and how it is added. The CBD oil works in tandem with the traditional oil used in the recipe. Though the flavor will change slightly, it will be a pleasant change and not an overpowering one.
This dressing works well on a variety of leafy salad greens, including more bitter ones like arugula and spinach. Hazelnuts, citrus fruit slices, pickled onions and goat cheese are few excellent options to add to the salad base. Being creative with what is added to the base of the salad will enhance the flavor of the vinaigrette. It’s a good idea to stick to light, refreshing, and summertime foods.
